I allowed ra6as' most recent post to remain in the hopes that he would provide the required attribution to the quoted material. Unfortunately, the thread grew and the unattributed quote was repeated so the whole kit and kaboodle has had to be removed.

In the future I will act more quickly.

Don't know when I will learn that banned posters never reform unless they become willing to request permission to return. (Hell, even those who appear willing are sometimes constitutionally unable to reform - nods to Abe.)

Lujan and his other characters were banned for recruiting. His latest character, nagual.whoever, make a few posts and then immediately set about recruiting.

Needless to say, nagual.whoever has now been banned.

The posting guidelines are continuously under development and subject to change.

As it says in the forum description:

[Castaneda Legacy] is the open forum, hosting spirited conversations between skeptics and believers on the legacy of Carlos Castaneda, the nature of reality, and our optimum relationship to the world around us.

The key word here is conversation. The forum is intended for discussion of ideas. It is not a place for people to advertise...

Ari has been banned for refusing to tone down her language when asked and her other user name, Juana La Loca, has been banned for trying to get around the ban. Pending a council review and formal disposition, she is banned until such time as she requests otherwise.

It appears that mirrorman is user Cloun9 and was trying to get around an earlier banning without emailing the council.

I hate to cut him off in the middle of his discussion with Greg and Mark, but he needs to recognize the Rules of the Road for posting here at SR.

His user name has been banned and he has been advised of the process (really much simpler than the process of creating a new username) for regaining his posting privileges at these forums.

Due to mining programs that wander the 'net looking for email addresses, and the spam that has appeared in the council mailbox, I've encoded the address a bit.

The address for the council mailbox is as above, except the "at" is actually the symbol you get by hitting shift and the number two.

So that's "thecouncil" then the "at" symbol, then...
